On October 23-24, 2025, the regional stage of the "My Profession is IT" competition was held in the format of a hackathon at the premises of Povolzhskiy State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PSUTI). Students from the Institute of Informatics and Cybernetics of Samara University actively participated in the competitions, demonstrating a high level of preparation and winning prizes in two out of three tracks.
Participants were offered three development directions:
· "UAV Swarm" – creating an intelligent control system for a fleet of delivery drones.
· "Auto-TCP" – developing a system for the automatic preparation of technical and commercial proposals based on Large Language Models (LLM).
· "Telegram Bots for the MAX Messenger".
Particular success was achieved by students specializing in "Computer Science and Engineering". In the most complex track, "UAV Swarm," which required developing algorithms for automatic order distribution and optimal route planning for drones, all prize places were taken by teams consisting of 1st and 2nd-year students. This is a clear testament to the powerful training students receive from their earliest years of study.
In the "Auto-TCP" track, students from the same specialization continued their success, taking second and third places. Their task was to create an intelligent system for generating technical and commercial proposals using modern LLM technologies.
"The participants create algorithms in Python, C#, and Go, using web technologies as the basis for the user interface," noted the jury members. "The guys complicated the given requirements during algorithm development, even implementing piggyback transportation. They worked through the night, were driven to achieve results, and the competition was intense."
Experts also highly appreciated the solutions in the "Auto-TCP" track. Gennady A. Algashev, Assistant at the Department of Information Systems and Technologies of Samara University, emphasized: "The teams proposed both desktop and web versions of the systems. Particular attention was paid to the interface: all teams presented convenient, visually appealing solutions that are intuitive for users."
The faculty of Samara University traditionally formed part of the hackathon's expert jury. Project evaluations were conducted by:
· Ilya Lyozin – Head of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies;
· Artyom Tarasov and Gennady Algashev – Assistants of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies.
The winners and prize-winners received commemorative prizes from the event's partner – Sberbank. The teams that secured victory also earned the right to participate in the next stage of the "My Profession is IT" competition, where a new challenge and opportunities for professional growth await them.
We congratulate our students on their brilliant performance and wish them further success!
