The agreement was officially signed by University Rector Vladimir Bogatyrev and Airport Executive Director Mikhail Berman during a visit by the university delegation to Kurumoch International Airport—operated by the Airports of Regions Management Company—on June 3, 2026.

This formal document solidifies an already fruitful relationship. Students from Samara University regularly complete their internships at the airport's production facilities, while airport specialists actively participate in reviewing graduation theses and conducting career guidance for students.

Highlighting this deep integration, the airport will host the final thesis defenses for bachelor's students from the Institute of Aerospace Engineering, majoring in Transport Operations Management, later this June.

Beyond educational initiatives, the agreement creates a robust framework for collaborative work in innovative areas crucial to the airport's future development.

During the visit, the Samara University delegation—which included representatives from the Institute of Aerospace Engineering, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, the Training Airdrome, and the Aviation Technical College—took an extensive technical tour of Kurumoch's key facilities. The tour allowed scientists and university representatives to see operations in action, helping them identify where their expertise and technological developments can deliver tangible, real-world benefits.

"Partnering with the country's leading aerospace university, bolstered by the expertise of its specialized institutes and research centers, is a direct investment in the airport's intellectual capital," noted Mikhail Berman, Executive Director of Kurumoch International Airport.

"We see this not merely as an internship program for students, but as a genuine contribution to optimizing and improving our operational processes."

"For the university, having access to a fully operational airport infrastructure provides an invaluable opportunity to test new technical solutions in a real-world environment," emphasized Vladimir Bogatyrev, Rector of Samara University.

"Our students and faculty get to tackle live industry challenges, while the airport benefits from a pipeline of specialists who already deeply understand the sector's unique demands."
