The Faculty of Biology was established in 1970 within the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology.
Aims:
The curriculum is designed to provide students with advanced theoretical and practical instruction. Practical training is implemented on the base of Zhiguli state reserve, Krasnosamarsky forestry, Samara Botanic Garden, etc.
The Departments actively implement research activities and participate in grant programs of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and foreign foundations. The academics and students of Biology conduct research work by request of regional enterprises and establishments.
