Mechatronics Systems (Lappeenranta University of Technology)
Enrollment status: full-time
Duration: 2 years
Qualification: Master Degree
Price: 175 000 RUB per year
The Master’s programme “Mechatronics Systems”, within course 24.04.05 “Aircraft Engines”, was created together with one of the leading universities in Finland, Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT).
The students have the unique opportunity of borrowing the experience not only of Russian, but also foreign specialists in the field of building mechatronics systems and receiving education of the highest level, confirmed simultaneously with two diplomas, Russian and European.
The programme graduates receive not only deep theoretical knowledge, but also broad practical skills in automatic control systems, commercial pneumatic and hydraulic units, and mechatronics systems. The students study theory without separation from practice, which is supported by multiple laboratory equipment units, created on the basis of modern commercial models. The graduates in this academic programme are in demand both by Russian enterprises and foreign companies working with automation and mechatronics.
Brief characterisation of the programme
The programme prepares high-class specialists who have deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills in automatic control systems, commercial pneumatic and hydraulic units and mechatronics systems.
After completing this specialty, the professional abilities received by the students allow them to be achievers in various types of activity:
The teaching process actively utilises multimedia equipment.
Features of the programme
The primary advantage of this programme is the opportunity to receive the highest level of education, as confirmed by receiving simultaneously two diplomas, Russian and European. The students have the unique opportunity of borrowing the experience not only of Russian, but also foreign specialists in building mechatronics systems. Study of theory is combined with a large number of practical exercises, supported by numerous laboratory equipment units, created on the basis of modern commercial models of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, automation and mechatronics systems.
The graduating department has been cooperating for many years with leading manufacturing, research and educational centres in Russia and abroad. As a result, already during their schooling, the students have the opportunity to perform design and research work on real research, including international projects.
Academic programme structure
The core feature of the curriculum is that some of the courses are taught in English in Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland. The academic programme consists of three units: disciplines (modules), internships and State Final Certification.
The first unit totals 73 course credit units (CCU). Foreign specialists teach 4 courses, of them:
Teaching of the disciplines (modules) at Samara University is 44 CCUs, which are distributed as follows:
State certification totals 6 CCUs.
Future profession
The programme graduates can choose one of the course career growth paths:
