Samara University opens the International Summer School dedicated to the management of science intensive technologies

On July 19 Samara University opens International Summer School “High Technology Management” (HTM-2018), dedicated to the management of science intensive technologies. Its participants will be 94 students from 39 universities of Japan, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic, Brazil, China, Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey, Iran, Costa Rica, Peru and Malaysia.
The programme of the School is focused on the students of top universities, who study not only the theoretical foundations of some sciences, but are also actively involved in the advanced research of their universities and the creation of promising technologies. The school allows the students to understand all aspects of innovation process, to combine the direct development of a high-tech product with marketing skills and risk management in its promotion.
"We organize HTM-school for the fourth time and note the growing interest of students of the world's leading universities to it, — says one of the organizers of the school, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics of Samara University Olga Esipova. — Our first Summer School attracted 17 participants from nine countries, but this year the number of participants is almost 100 people. Most of them represent the leading research universities of the world, which have good positions in the QS Global World Ranking".
Three-quarters of HTM-2018 participants receive engineering and technical education in their universities in such areas as microelectronics, aircraft construction, engineering, nanoengineering. 10% of participants study IT disciplines and science (Сhemistry, Physics). The remaining 5% of participants are economists and managers.
The participants of the School will be given the opportunity to plunge into the creation and commercialization of real high-tech projects implemented by the leading industrial enterprises and research centres of  Samara Region.
Foreign guests will also have an opportunity to get acquainted with the culture and history of Samara Region, as well as with unique natural monuments of the region.
After finishing the School, its graduates will receive a certificate for four education credits, which can be counted in their universities.
Summer School HTM-2018 will be held in two stages: from 19 to 29 July and from 3 to 13 August.
