IT Degree Graduates among the Most Highly-Paid in the Country

The University move up in the SuperJob rankings where it comes to information technologies

On Wednesday, June 7, SuperJob presented a rankings of Russian universities as of 2023 by a level of salaries received by young specialists involved in IT that graduated in 2017–2022. The Samara National Research University made it to TOP 20 of the rankings again moving up to the 19th place.

According to the research, the average payment of young people with an IT diploma of the Samara University that had graduated in 2017–2022 grew by 25,000 over a year to reach 125,000 rubles. That said, the authors of the rating list highlight that 8 out of 10 graduate students with IT degrees stayed in the Samara Region to work.

A leader of the rankings is the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, ITMO and the Lomonosov Moscow State University shared the second place. The third place was occupied by the Bauman Moscow State Technical University and National Research Nuclear University MEPHI.

Three universities of the Samara Region are included in the rankings: Samara University, Povolzhskiy State University of Telecommunications and Informatics and Samara State Technical University.

The rankings is compiled by the SuperJob Research Center based on comparison of the average income levels of Russian graduate students of 2017–2022. State universities participate in the research — classical and specialized technical universities. The SuperJob CV base (over 30 mln CVs) and other open sources are used for information.
