The Dynamics and Vibroacoustics Journal (electronic) of Samara University has been included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission since July 11, 2023, in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Sciences in the following scientific specialties should be published:

• 1.1.7. Theoretical Mechanics, Dynamics of Machines (technical sciences);
• 1.1.8. Mechanics of Deformable Solids (technical sciences);
• 2.5.4. Robots, Mechatronics and Robotic Systems (technical sciences);
• 2.5.10. Hydraulic Machines, Vacuum, Compressor Equipment, Hydro and Pneumatic Systems (technical sciences);
• 2.5.15. Thermal, Electric Rocket Engines and Power Plants.

The Dynamics and Vibroacoustics Journal was established by the Department of Power Plant Automatic Systems, in 2014. The editor-in-chief of the journal is the head of the Department of Power Plant Automatic Systems, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Scientific Director of Samara University Evgeny Shakhmatov. He notes,

“The Dynamics and Vibroacoustics Journal is published based on the results of the research activities of the Institute of Acoustic Engineering and the Department of Power Plants and Automatic Systems, for the purpose of creating scientific space for our specialists and students, as well as involving other scientists in it for exchanging experience. Over time, especially after organizing and holding a number of international scientific and technical conferences “Dynamics and Vibroacoustic Engineering”, it became necessary to expand the scope of the journal, and increase the level of scientometric evaluation of the materials published. Therefore, one of the main goals was entering the list of peer-reviewed publications of the Higher Attestation Commission. This is a very important event for the Department, the University and our colleagues from other universities and research organizations, as new opportunities open up for researchers to publish their works.

Samara University trains high-quality engineering and scientific personnel (Candidates and Doctors of Sciences), has Dissertation Councils, well-equipped laboratories. This is a solid basis for new ideas to be born and implemented, and it is very valuable to be able to share them on the pages of our University’s journals. It is important that the Dynamics and Vibroacoustics Journal continues to be among them, though now at a higher scientific level”.

Since the Journal establishment (2014), 27 issues have been published. Now the 28th issue of the Journal is being prepared, which will be published in its new status.

Since the very beginning, the scope of the Journal was dedicated to the problems of dynamics and vibroacoustic engineering, vibration and damping, modeling of dynamic and vibro-acoustic processes, suppression of oscillatory processes and noise, dynamics and regulation of systems, mechatronics, aero- and hydroacoustics. So far, the Journal is one of the few covering these issues. Recently, the thematic space of the Journal has expanded, and now articles in the following scientific areas are accepted for publication:

• Fundamental problems in dynamic and vibroacoustic engineering;
• Vibrations and damping problems;
• Modeling of dynamic and vibroacoustic processes;
• Suppression of oscillatory processes and noise;
• Dynamics and regulation of systems;
• Robots, mechatronics and robotic systems;
• Hydraulic engineering, vacuum, compressor equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
• Designing, constructing, producing, testing and operating aircrafts;
• Thermal, electric rocket engines and power plants of aircrafts.
