The international information Group Interfax presented the annual National University Ranking for 2024 Lomonosov Moscow State University is in the first place of the rating, MEPhI is in the second place and MIPT is in the third place.
In total, in 2024 experts assessed the activities of 378 universities in Russia, including 29 national research universities, 10 federal, 33 flagship universities, as well as 144 universities participating in the Priority 2030 program. The activities of 21 non-governmental universities were also evaluated.
Samara University rose to 38–41 places in the consolidated ranking in 2024 and is still among the top hundred universities in the country. In addition, the University has strengthened its position in a number of areas of research. So, in the area of "Innovation/Entrepreneurship" the University rose to the 25th place, in the area of "Brand" — to the 31st place, and in the area of "Research" it reached the 32nd place.

The National University Ranking (NUR) project has been implemented by the Interfax Group since 2010.
