Rada Garcia Vikelli Nazareth Became Miss International of Samara University 2024

On November 19, the final of the annual competition “Miss International” was held in Samara University. In 2024, beautiful representatives of as many as 8 countries of near and far abroad fought for the main title: Armenia, Iraq, the Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Colombia, China, Lebanon, Venezuela!

According to the tradition, the competition was held in several stages. After application each girl started active preparation for the competition. Runway walk rehearsals, makeup and hairstyling master classes, video business card shooting, themed photo shoots in two different atmospheres and locations. The list could go on! Every day of the girls was eventful, as in the final they had not only to demonstrate their beauty, grace and versatile talents, but also to represent their native country, its cultural and national features.

The international competition gathered almost full assembly hall. Each spectator and participants helped to understand once again that “Miss International” is not only demonstration of beauty, but also opportunity to get acquainted with cultural diversity and traditions of other countries.

The event began with a brilliant dance from a creative team of Samara University, which put everybody present in a happy frame of mind. After that the audience watched runway walk in ethnical costumes. The girls demonstrated traditional attire of their countries, that was not only showy, but also insightful moment for spectators. No less than interesting was the runway walk in mother’s looks. Each of the girls resented her mother with love and respect demonstrating deep feelings connected to this important role. This touching performance evoked a sea of emotions, because family support is of great importance.

The audience also actively got in the celebration: organizers prepared interactive competitions for spectators, which could be a part of show and support the contestants. This element of interaction created an atmosphere of warmth and friendship, and also allowed the guests to feel themselves part of the exciting action.

The competition was not limited only to runway walk. The program included creative performances of participants, in which they sang and danced performing with musical instruments. The spectators could enjoy beautiful melodies and lively dances and also hear songs and poems in different languages that added even more colors to the event. And video business cards allowed the spectators to get acquainted with the uniqueness of each participant.

The following step was coming out of participants in evening gown. Amazing outfits, shining accessories and graceful runway walks. Spectators could not hold back their gasps and the jury members wrote down their scores admiring every moment. This stage became the turning point of the evening underlining elegance and style of participants.

Creative teams of the University also delighted the spectators with their performances. Their performances became wonderful addition to the competition program demonstrating talents and creativity of students.

The final ended by the awarding of the participants. None of the girls was left without attention:

·         According to the results of online voting, Audience Choice Award was won by Abboud Amani;

·         Miss Individuality – Davranbekova Nurana;

·         Miss Creativity – Abboud Amani;

·         Miss Gracefulness – Adamyan Viktoria Gurgenovna;

·         Miss Charm – Badreddin Zainab Rida;

·         Miss Straightforwardness – Alkadyrova Nasila Kanybekovna;

·         Miss Courtliness – Rada Garcia Vikelli Nazareth;

·         Miss Naturalness – Solano Curcio Juliette Vanessa;

·         Miss Originality – Jiang Yishanyu. 

Each of the girls was awarded by diploma and memorable gift and the winners received additional prizes. Group photo for memory ended the evening imprinting the moments of happiness, joy and unity of all the participants. Smiles on girls’ faces reflected their pride in the achievements and self-confidence.

Competition “Miss International” of Samara University became not only competition for foreign students, but also the real holiday of cultural exchange, creation and unity. This event demonstrated that beauty can be manifested not only in appearance, but also at heart, in talents and endless love to one’s roots. We hope that tradition of holding such competitions will continue, and each year will bring new bright moments, which will unite the students from all over the world!
