Team of Scientists of Image Processing Systems Institute of the RAS and Samara University Became the Laureate of the RF Government Award in the Field of Science and Technology

On Wednesday in Moscow, the Chairman of the RF Government Mikhail Mishustin presented awards in the field of science and technology. Annually, 20 Awards of the RF Government are presented.

The laureate of the award from Samara National Research University became the team of authors under the leadership of Doctoral degree in physical and mathematical science, Professor of the Department of Engineering Cybernetics, Head of the Department of “Image Processing System Institute – Samara” of Kurchatov Crystallography and Photonics Complex of the Federal Government Budgetary Institution “National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute”, Nikolay Lvovich Kazansky. Experts of the Award highly appreciated work of Samara scientists on creation of intelligent multispectral systems of remote monitoring of natural and anthropogenic environment.

The scientific team included:

·         Roman Vasilyevich Skidanov, Doctoral degree in physical and mathematical science, Associate professor, Chief researcher of the laboratory;

·         Artem Vladimirovich Nikonorov, Doctoral degree in engineering science, Leading researcher of the laboratory;

·         Nikolay Aleksandrovich Ivliev, Candidate of engineering sciences, Research fellow of the laboratory.

As well as:

·         Bartalev Sergey Aleksandrovich, Doctoral degree in engineering science, Chief researcher of the Federal Government Budgetary Science Institution “Space Research Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences”;

·         Lupyan Evgeny Arkadyevich, Doctoral degree in engineering science, Manager of the Department of the same Institution;

·         Burnaev Evgeny Vladimirovich, Doctoral degree in physical and mathematical science, Associate professor, Professor of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center in the field of optimization of management decisions in order to reduce carbon footprint of the autonomous non-profit educational institution “Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technologies”;

·         Kaperko Aleksey Fedorovich, Doctoral degree in engineering science, Professor of Electronic Engineering Department of Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics of the federal state autonomous educational institution “National Research University “Higher School of Economics”;

·         Verba Vladimir Stepanovich, Doctoral degree in engineering science, Associate Member of Russian Academy of Sciences, Scientific tutor of the joint-stock company “Vega” Radio Engineering Concern”;

·         Chernienko Andrey Andreevich, Candidate of engineering sciences, Deputy Head of Department of the same company.

Speaking to the laureates, Mikhail Mishustin underlined that teams of scientists were being awarded for creation of such studies results of which were already implemented to the work of organizations of the key sectors of economy – industry, energetics, agriculture, space and healthcare. All these innovations are competitive and are able to remove foreign analogues, and several of them are unique.

It should be noted that the laureates of the RF Government awards in previous years were:

·         RAS Academician Vladimir Pavlovich Shorin – Award of the RF Government in the field of science and technology (1999), Award of the RF Government in the field of education (2010).

·         RAS Academician Viktor Aleksandrovich Soyfer – Award of the RF Government in the field of science and technology (2008), Award of the RF Government in the field of education (2010).

·         RAS Academician Evgeny Vladimirovich Shakhmatov – Award of the RF Government of 2008 in the field of science and technology for comprehensive solution of problems of vibration protection of transport engineering and aerospace engineering products based on elastoporous material – metal rubber. The problem was also developed by the Dean of Craft Engines Faculty, Doctoral degree in engineering science, Professor Aleksander Ivanovich Ermakov, Candidate of engineering sciences, Associate professor Fedor Vasilyevich Parovay, Doctoral degree in engineering sciences, Professor Yury Konstantinovich Ponomarev, Candidate of engineering sciences, Associate professor Aleksander Aleksandrovich Troynikov.

·         In 2021, the laureates of the Award of the RF Government named after Yury Gagarin in the field of space activities were the joint team of scientists of Samara University and JSC “RSC “Progress” including Viktor Aleksandrovich Soyfer, Head of study, RAS Academician, President of Samara University; Vadim Viktorovich Salmin, Professor of the Department of Space Engineering of Samara University; Ivan Sergeevich Tkachenko, CEO of the Institute of Aerospace Engineering of Samara University; Gennady Petrovich Anshakov, RAS Associate member, Deputy General Testing Designer of JSC “RSC “Progress”, Professor of the Department of Space Engineering of Samara University; Oleg Dmitrievich Kononenko, instructor-cosmonaut-investigator – Deputy Head of Cosmonaut Training Center – cosmonaut chief of FSBI “Yu. A. Gagarin Research and Test Cosmonaut Training Center”, honorary graduate of Samara University. The award was given for creation of the scientific and educational practice-oriented complex of interdisciplinary educational programs and laboratory testing facilities for training of specialists in end-to-end technologies of space remote sensing of the Earth.
