“After obtaining this important document, Samara University officially rises to a novel higher from professional point of view level of training of specialist in the field of commercial aviation — the University will perform educational activity in this field in more expanded format than previously. The status of aviation training center from the Rosaviatsiya gives the university a right to train certified aviation personnel for any and all aviation enterprises of the country. This means that specialists received training in our University in certain specialties will not be required to receive additional training or retraining before employment: their documents on education will have the same status as documents of graduates of specialized higher educational establishments of the Rosaviatsiya where flight operator, navigators, panel operators, and aircraft service technician are trained. They will be fully-trained personnel for commercial aviation,” told Vladimir Bogatyrev, Rector of Samara University.
As he noted, educational organizations having a certificate of aviation training center is a rare thing, thus the novel status obtained by Samara University is more valuable. The certificate allows to train personnel for a wide range of aviation specialties, however in the early days in the university as part of the ATC, it is planned to perform training in two areas, the first one will be training of engineering-service personnel for maintenance of aircrafts, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
