The Edtek Award OOC 2024 International Open Online Course Competition is designed to enhance the education quality by implementing the best practices of electronic education and remote educational technologies (EE and RET) and by training experts, lecturers, providers, course participants in modern educational technologies.
In 2024, various universities and organizations of Russia, such as the Tomsk State University, HSE University, Gazpromneft-Center LLC, SBER, Izhevsk State Technical University named after M.T. Kalashnikov, Omsk State Technical University.
Two online courses of Samara University became winners and laureates in the following nominations:
· The first place in nomination “Online Course Posted on a Digital Platform” was given to online course “Criminalistics Expert Examination: Preparation, Purpose, Procedure, and Assessment.” It was developed by the Center for Distance Education Technologies and Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems Security Andrey Shaposhnikov in 2023. The course is designed for obtaining deepen knowledge on forensic equipment and techniques for detecting, fixing, and collecting residues, objects of forensic analysis; on procedure and special features of the process for obtaining samples for comparative study, on procedural arrangements for listing forensic examinations, on standard arrangements for performing forensic examinations, on basic methods and procedures of examination, on standard arrangements for preparing a forensic report and supporting data, on prospective area of digitalization of forensic expert activity and criminal legal proceedings. · Special nomination “Science” was awarded to online course “Analytical Chemistry. Titrimetry and Gravimetry.” This online course was developed by the Center for Distance Education Technologies and the course’s authoring team — Irina Lobacheva, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Chromatography, Anatoly Lobachev, Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Chromatography, Elena Revinskaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Chromatography, Nikolay Redkin, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Chromatography, and Natalia Shumskaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Chromatography — in 2022. The purpose of course “Analytical Chemistry. Titrimetry and Gravimetry” is to familiarize participants with main idea on titrimetry and gravimetry, acid-base titration, chelatometric titration, redox-metric titration, precipitation titration, sequence of operations performed during gravimetric analysis of samples.
Authors of course “Analytical Chemistry. Titrimetry and Gravimetry” not only outline a theoretical material, but also give the participants a possibility to find out how the obtained knowledge can be used for solving such important for human tasks, as water hardness control, content of active pharmaceutical ingredient in a drug product. The course includes the material that allows to classify titrimetric analytical methods, plot a titration curve, select an indicator, calculate the sample volume (weight) for analysis and content of analyte, determine requirements to precipitated and gravimetric forms, select a precipitant and precipitation conditions for the analysis of specific object.
