Business Competence Trainings: Results and Prospects

On December 16, at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the Strategic Session “Business Competence Trainings: Results and Prospects” took place. Following the results of 2024, Samara University won two nominations at once.

Business competence trainings are one of key elements of the Federal Project “University Technology Entrepreneurship Platform”. They have been held since 2022, and for this time, more than 150,000 university students across Russia have been trained. In 2024, 202 higher education institutions were involved in organizing and conducting trainings.

Samara University has been participating in business competence trainings as a partner university since 2022, but it was only in 2024 that we managed to enter the top 30 providers of trainings. The training “Startup Navigator” will be conducted in all regions of Russia up to and including 2027.

The final session of 2024 was devoted to formation of requests and expectations for the next three-year training cycle. The formed values, goals and objectives will be included in the documents that will form the key indicators for the specified period. Elena Bogatova, Director of Samara University’s Startup Centre, shared the details.

“What nominations did Samara University manage to win in 2024 and why is it important?”

“Following the results of 2024, we took two nominations at once – the training platform and the provider of trainings 2024. Firstly, we have become the second largest training platform in terms of coverage after the Central Federal District. We have managed to train more than 19,000 students in the Volga Federal District. Secondly, we entered the Top 5 providers in terms of coverage. In 2024, 101 trainings were conducted and 6.4 thousand people were trained. The 2024 nominations are particularly significant for Samara University, because we have become providers throughout Russia only this year. And we immediately entered the Top 5!”

“What key factor, in your opinion, allowed achieving such a result?”

“Nothing would have happened without the well-coordinated work of the team, which clearly built the process of communicating with all our partners. If there were any organizational issues, we tried very hard to settle them as much as possible, for achieving maximum results in each specific situation”.

“Have you already decided what you will surprise with next year?”

“In the new year, we definitely do not plan to stop at the point achieved. We will continue developing the partnerships and expanding the network of partner universities. Our victories are the result of common efforts. In 2024, 34 partner universities worked together with us. Seven of them showed maximum coverage. We will certainly mark each of them with the letter of appreciation, as well as will also gather all our partners for the online summing up on December 28”.

“What would you like to wish to yourself?”

“I wish our really big team to confidently look forward to the next three-year period. We have accumulated a lot of experience and still have the capacity for remaining as the training platform of the Volga Federal District for the next few years. We also believe that the competition results, which are about to be announced at the end of December, will please everyone of us”.
