ANO “Digital Economy,” with the support of the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises, summed up the results of the universities rating in digital economy for 2024. This is an analytical study aimed at identifying leading universities, based on the opinions of leading IT and technology companies.
The rating participants are Russian parent universities that conduct training in 69 specialties at the bachelor’s and specialist levels, which the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation classifies as IT training. The final results are presented for two groups of universities — for ones from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and separately for regional universities.
Bauman Moscow State Technical University has got the rating leader among the capital’s universities, while Eltsin Ural Federal University took the first place among regional ones. Samara National Research University was ranked 11th in the regional group of universities, according to the experts.
For making the rating, the researchers used two assessment parameters: the scale of training IT specialists and the survey of 81 respondents conducted by ANO “Digital Economy.” The respondents were leading technology companies: major accredited IT companies, founders of ANO “Digital Economy,” members in the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises.
For reference:
In 2024, the national rating of the universities of digital economy was made for the second time. The purpose of the rating is to identify leading universities in high-quality and large-scale training of IT personnel, based on the opinions of leading technology companies — leaders of the digital economy, as well as to encourage universities for strengthening their interaction with employers in the field of IT.
