The lists of the best include 166 universities from 40 regions of Russia

The RAEX agency has published the latest ranking by subject of Russian universities, which are part of the "Three University Missions" family. This year, they are combined in 35 areas — 166 universities from 40 regions of Russia are included in the lists of the best.

Traditionally, the universities of Moscow and St. Petersburg become the leaders of the ratings, they are represented by 66 universities (42 — Moscow, 24 — St. Petersburg). Tatarstan (10 universities), Rostov Region (6 universities), Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Saratov regions (5 universities each) stand out among the regions.

Lomonosov Moscow State University took the first place in 13 rankings by subject, including all natural science fields: physics, chemistry, biology and geography. In the engineering block, Bauman Moscow State Technical University remains the leader: the university topped the rankings in "mechanical engineering and robotics," "aerospace engineering," and "engineering and technologies of ground transport."

Samara University has entered the top 20 best universities by 5 rankings by subject. The University has retained its position in the field of Aviation and Rocket and Space Technology, and it is in third place here. In addition, this year the university has risen to the 15th position in the field of Chemistry.

In general, the positions of Samara University for the five rankings by subject are as follows:

·         "Aviation and Space-Rocket Engineering" — the 3rd place;

·         "Chemistry" — the 15th place;

·         "Pedagogical Education" — the 16th place;

·         "History and Archeology" — the 18th place;

·         "Sociology" — the 20th place.
