From May to July 2025, Samara State Technical University hosted the 12th All-Russian Competition of Research Projects carried out by schoolchildren and students under the scientific guidance of scholars from the International Association of Construction Universities (ODARMOL).
The competition aimed to enhance the scientific level and expand the scope of work with gifted and professionally oriented schoolchildren and students across Russia. Projects were evaluated based on their relevance, novelty, creativity, complexity, and practical significance.
This year, the competition jury highly rated projects by Master's students in the field of study 12.04.04 "Biotechnical Systems and Technologies".
· In the "Biology and Biotechnology" section, Irina Pimenova won with her project on intelligent analysis of human blood serum.
· In the "Artificial Intelligence in Science and Engineering" section, Polina Gorbacheva took 2nd place with her research on multiple myeloma using Raman spectroscopy, and Ksenia Tomnikova secured 3rd place with her project on developing an ensemble method for analyzing spectral and clinical data from patients with skin neoplasms.
All three students, whose projects were recognized by the jury, conduct their research under the supervision of Irina Matveeva, Associate Professor at the Department of Laser and Biotechnical Systems.
