On July 18, 2025, the Scopus Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB) decided to include the scientific journal "Physics of Wave Processes and Radio Systems" in the international scientometric database Scopus.

At the review stage, experts noted that the journal "Physics of Wave Processes and Radio Systems":

·         consistently publishes articles that are academically sound and relevant to the international academic and professional audience in this field;

·         has clear aims and scope that correspond to the journal's content.

The journal "Physics of Wave Processes and Radio Systems" is a periodic theoretical and scientific-practical publication featuring results of original scientific research and reviews in radio physics, optics, electronic component base of micro- and nanoelectronics, quantum devices, radio engineering, including television systems and devices, antennas, microwave devices and their technologies.

The journal has been published since 1998 jointly by Samara University and the Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics. It is included by the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in the List of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications, where the main scientific results of dissertations for the degrees of Doctor of Sciences and Candidate of Sciences should be published. The journal is also indexed in the Crossref, CyberLeninka, Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI on the eLIBRARY platform), DOAJ, and SciUp databases.

The journal's Editor-in-Chief, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Radio-Electronic Systems at the Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics, Dmitry Klyuev; the Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Professor at the Department of Optics and Spectroscopy of Samara University, Valery Ivakhnik; as well as the editorial board, express their gratitude to the leadership of Samara University, represented by Rector Vladimir Bogatyrev, the Head of the Center for Publication Activity Development at Samara University Anastasia Grisyak, the President of the Association of Science Editors and Publishers Olga Kirillova, the Association of Higher Education Institutions of the Samara Region, and Eco-Vector LLC, represented by Yuri Filippov and Mikhail Saushkin, for their assistance in preparing the application, high professionalism, and cooperation.

For reference:

Scopus is the largest unified abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed scientific literature, with built-in tools for tracking, analyzing, and visualizing data. The database contains 23,700 titles from 5,000 international publishers in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering, medicine, and arts. Indexing in Scopus is a kind of "quality mark" for a journal; it attracts respected scientists to publish their work there and increases the journal's readership and prestige in the global scientific community. However, achieving this honor is very difficult. The decision to index a new publication is made by a special committee consisting of experienced expert scientists.
