Egor Chernov Will Receive the Scholarship from the "Sistema" Charitable Foundation

The "Sistema" Charitable Foundation announced the winners of the "Sistema" Scholarship Competition held with the support of the MTS digital ecosystem and other domestic companies. The winners are students of vocational schools and universities from 28 regions of Russia. Based on the results of the two-stage assessment, the authors of 50 best technological design works aimed at solving real problems proposed by employers, who oversee main areas of the project, were selected from more than 18 thousand participants in the Competition. Egor Chernov, a student from Samara University, has got in the list of the winners.

Egor Chernov has won the "Sistema" Scholarship Competition in the area "Health-Saving Technologies" with his project "Triflex" on producing lightweight, durable and reliable prosthetic fingers and hands". The project is aimed at creating customized mechanical prosthetic fingers and hands by using 3D printing technologies. "Triflex" is an innovative combination of mechanical and power prostheses with using 3D printing with high-strength engineering plastics and titanium power elements, which allows for high strength and lightness, comfort due to the individualization of the process of creating the prosthesis, as well as low prices due to the use of proprietary 3D printers. According to Egor, the main feature of the project is the complete mechanization of the prosthesis, which ensures the restoration of grip strength and arm functionality by transferring muscular force through rigid traction to the distant parts of the prosthesis.

In 2024, Egor Chernov’s project «Triflex" became the winner of the federal project "Student Startup 2024" and entered the TOP 1000 university startups of 2024.

In this season of the Scholarship Competition to have been launched in October 2024, the participants were offered a choice of 5 areas supported by industry leaders: “Technologies for Comfortable Life", "Health-Saving Technologies" (following the results, the area has become the most popular), "Technologies in Folk Crafts and Creative Industries", "Biochemical Engineering", "Energy and Microelectronics Technologies".

The scholarship will be paid for five months: vocational students will receive 10,000 rubles per month, university students - 25,000 rubles per month. Moreover, the scholarship holders will have the opportunity for taking part in the Foundation’s career and career guidance events, complete internships, or receive job offers from the project’s partner companies.
