The VolgaCTF 2025 Information Security Competition Has Concluded

The 15th annual VolgaCTF 2025 open cybersecurity conference took place in Samara. The main event was the final of the CTF competition, which featured the top 21 teams; approximately 400 teams from around the world had participated in the qualifying round.

The CYBERSQD team, composed of students from Povolzhskiy State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PSUTI) and Samara University (Department of Information Systems Security), was among the top performers. The final stage of the competition included teams from Mongolia and Belarus, as well as from leading Russian universities such as ITMO University, MIPT, MSU, HSE, MEPhI, and others, highlights the high level of the event.

The conference serves as a crucial platform for information security professionals to connect, where leading experts share their knowledge and experience.

Samara University and JSC SAMIS, in cooperation with the Department of Information Technology and Communications, are the organizers of the final stage of this major CTF competition. The opening address was delivered by Vladimir Bogatyrev, the Rector of the University.

Within the conference framework, participants were able not only to compete but also to attend lectures and master classes covering current topics and the latest technologies in information security. This event facilitates the exchange of experience and helps build a strong cybersecurity community. Year after year, VolgaCTF brings together the best cybersecurity professionals from across Russia.
