Brief Description of Master’s Program:
The Master’s program is focused on project-oriented activity (Applied Master’s program – the Program). The volume and content of the Program comply with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard (FSES) of higher education within the program 24.04.05 (160700.68) – Aircraft engines (Master’s Degree), approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation dated April 8, 2018 №373.
The purpose of the Program is to train highly qualified specialists for work in the fields of science, engineering and technology in areas related to design and development of aircraft engines.
Objects of the professional activity for graduates with Master Degree are the following:
- gas turbine engines, power plants and internal combustion engines;
- methods and tools for design, simulation and experimental study of gas turbine engines and power plants;
- design and development of gas turbine engines and power plants using CAE/CAD/PDM-software.
Education is carried out according to the basic and individual training programs, including the possibility of the accelerated training.
The curriculum was developed in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart and meets not only Russian but the international requirements.
The Program features are the following:
- academic mobility of students (allows studying one year in the leading universities of Russia, Germany, Italy, China);
- internship at the leading enterprises and research centers of the country (JSC "Kuznetsov", Chernyshev Moscow Machine-Building Enterprise (Moscow), JSC “Aviaagregat”, OJSC “Aviadvigatel” (Perm), JSC “Metallist-Samara”, V. M. Myasishchev Experimental Design Bureau, JSC “NPO Saturn” etc.);
- interactive methods and distance education systems;
- combination of training with research at the Aircraft Engines Design Department and Theory of Aircraft Engines Department.

Students within the major choose to specialize in some area by studying subjects up to the student's choice, individual programs, practical and research works of students, content of final qualifying works.
Training on an individual curriculum is generally carried out in close cooperation with the enterprises - the future employers of graduates either for intensive training of graduates to continue their post-graduating studies.
