The program is implemented in conjunction with Netcracker Technology – a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, which specializes in the creation, implementation and technical support for software designed for leading telecoms, major enterprises and public institutions.
Special emphasis is placed on cutting-edge programming and data-analysis technologies, as well as on mastering the methods of organizing and managing projects involving software development. A special course is devoted to Data Mining and Big Data using the capabilities offered by supercomputers.
An important element of the program is working with English-language study materials, as is studying business practices in the English-speaking environment typically found at international IT companies.

The master’s degree program is implemented in conjunction with Netcracker Technology – a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, which specializes in the professional production of custom software, as well as consulting in the area of information and telecommunications technologies.
The program is aimed at the training of highly-qualified specialists in the field of the development of information and telecommunications systems and software quality management.
Particular attention is paid within the scope of the program to cutting-edge programming and data-analysis technologies, the development of information-and-communications systems, and mastering the methods used in organizing and managing projects involving software development. A special course is devoted to Data Mining and Big Data using the capabilities offered by supercomputers.

Core courses in the master’s degree program are based on educational and study materials developed by NetCracker, with a number of lab projects also expected to be completed at the company’s facilities. The study process actively incorporates the use of the state-of-the-art IT infrastructure at the university’s disposal: the Sergey Korolev supercomputer, a hardware-software suite for the processing, analysis and storage of Big Data, and an impressive array of multimedia equipment.
Classes are led by candidates and doctors of science with a depth of practical experience working at major IT companies and system integrators, with lectures and workshops featuring the participation of highly-qualified specialists from the IT industry holding management positions overseeing real-world IT projects.

The study plan for the master’s degree program contains a cycle of mathematical and informational-technological disciplines. This allows students to easily adapt to rapidly-changing trends in the IT field in general and applied-mathematics-development field in particular.
Consistent with the State Educational Standard for higher education, the core educational program consists of three blocks: Disciplines (modules), Practical Training, State Final Certification.
The volume of the first block consists of 60 course credit units (CCU), , which are distributed as follows:

All courses envision the active use of the IT infrastructure at the disposal of Samara University (multimedia classes, supercomputer).
