About the program
The program provides you with the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of such fundamental subject areas as Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science, and thus lays the foundation for a professional career in any industry. Department of Theoretical Mechanics staff with diverse backgrounds, including hands-on experience of working in aerospace industry, teach program courses. As a student on the Bachelor’s Degree program, you will be part of one of the leading spaceflight mechanics and aeronautics departments in the world. You will develop knowledge and understanding of programming languages and tools, database management systems, mathematical packages, CAD/CAE systems, visualization systems, networking and cluster technologies, along with presentation skills to communicate the results of your work effectively. The program is designed as an interplay of theory and practice for you to learn how to think and create. It allows you to develop a solid background with the skills necessary to apply your expertise to the solution of problems in any area of activity.
Through the course of your studies, you will gain abilities to:
– develop and carry out research using mathematical methods and computer technology;
– solve complex problems using software and mathematical modeling of processes and objects;
– develop effective methods of solving problems related to natural science, engineering, economics and management;
– provide software and information support for research, engineering, management, design, scientific and operational activities;
– teach a number of mathematical related disciplines (including Computer Science).
