In early October, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) is planning another call for applications to participate in Skoltech Innovation Programme, SIP).
The Skoltech Innovation Programme is using the methods of Deshpande Center of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The Programme’s goal is to support research teams interested in commercialization of their ideas and developments. The Programme Focus is aimed at the stage of verification of the scientific idea viability and of the interest from the market, i.e. supporting the teams at the initial development stage – from the concept to its practical implementation in a product of a process.
In addition to funding the research work performed within the R&D Arrangement (in the amount of up to RBL 3 mln), during the Programme, each team is assigned Russian and foreign mentors (so called "catalysts") who have succeeded in similar projects and can share their experience. Moreover, within the Programme, Skoltech is organising various events, including workshops, seminars and conferences, and is planning joint training courses in Entrepreneurship and Innovations (E & I) with the participation of international companies and experts. All these events presume active involvement of project teams.
For further information on the Programme and its terms and conditions please visit the Skoltech site at: http://www.skoltech.ru/lnnovation.
