The final of the All-Russian Competition “Ten to the Minus Ninth,” organized by Samara University, takes place at “Artek.” The finalists of the All-Russian Competition of Research Works with International Participation “Ten to the Minus Ninth” will spend the beginning of the academic year on the Crimean coast. On September 01–22, Samara National Research University’s educational modules will be implemented in the Crimea.
4,500 schoolchildren from all over Russia and representatives of four foreign countries took part in two qualifying stages, 25 of them received the status of finalists of the Competition and were awarded vouchers to “Artek.” These finalists will also receive +10 points to results of their Unified State Exam when admitting Samara University.
Petr Alsanov, a 10th-grade pupil from the city of Nevinnomyssk, is a finalist in the 2022 and 2024 Competition. Petr is interested in chemistry, and this year he devoted his work to nanocomposite antireflection coatings for solar panels: “As for me, in 2022, participating the Competition “Ten to the Minus Ninth” was a real discovery. Within the final of the Competition, I took part in the scientific conference. This was my first experience in making speech. The Competition gave a big “impulse” forward. Now I continue to actively develop in this area. Two years have passed, and I want to return to the place where my “career of a researcher” began. But one of the most important things to be given by Samara University is precious acquaintances and memories for the whole lifetime. I hope I will be able not only to apply the acquired knowledge, but also, perhaps, discover something completely new. Many thanks to the organizers for creating such unique platforms for growth and exchange of experience!”
The participants of the shift at “Artek” will have to work under educational programs in Natural Sciences. Moreover, the best of the submitted research papers will be presented at the scientific conference and evaluated by experts.
