The series of educational events "Samara University for Space" provides a unique opportunity for everyone interested in cosmonautics to learn about the history and cutting-edge research and developments of the university, which has made a significant contribution to space activities. The organizers hope the project will help attract new talent to the rocket and space industry.

The first meeting, held on December 11, 2025, took place in a lively and creative atmosphere. The Director of the Institute of Aerospace Engineering, I.S. Tkachenko, emphasized that the events in this series will become an important addition to the educational process, will contribute to involving students in research work, and will help broaden the horizons and cognitive activity of young people.

A landmark event was the handover from the Institute of a full-scale mock-up of the "Aist" small spacecraft to the museum's collection, vividly illustrating the university's contribution to the development of cosmonautics.

S.L. Safronov, Acting Head of the D. I. Kozlov Department of Spacecraft Engineering, presented an overview of developments covering a wide range of tasks – from projects in super-heavy-lift launch vehicles and the design of reusable space tugs to problem-oriented computer technologies for designing Earth remote sensing spacecraft and technologies for transporting, deploying, and managing new-generation space information systems.

Special attention was paid to the successful experience of launching and operating the "Aist" series of small spacecraft. The department's staff and students can monitor the satellites' operation at their own Center for Receiving and Processing Space Information.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to promising projects of the Flight Dynamics Department related to the exploration and development of the Moon. They were discussed by the Head of the Department, O.L. Starinova. Various types of flights to the Moon were considered, including impulsive direct flights, low-energy transfers, and flights using low-thrust engines.

Particular attention was given to the process of creating a near-lunar space constellation to support lunar exploration activities, taking into account future trends in these studies.

During the meeting, participants were able to ask questions and see for themselves that the presented developments of the departments demonstrate the high scientific and technological potential of Samara University.

The meeting concluded with a screening of the documentary film "Dmitry Kozlov. Samara Resident" from the "Secrets of Forgotten Victories" series. The film told about the life and work of the outstanding rocket and space technology designer, whose name is inextricably linked with the history of Samara University and Russian cosmonautics.

Following the meeting, entries such as these appeared in the museum's guest book:

"The most interesting and informative events take place in this wonderful museum."

"It made me sad. I found out that a flight to the Moon is such an expensive pleasure…"
