Samara University Students Excel at Esports Competition

On December 7, the Governor's Cup of Samara Region in computer sports among students was held.

The competition was conducted in two stages:

• Stage I – online competitions (from November 24 to December 6, 2025, approximately 1000 participants);

• Stage II – the final competition, held on December 7 at the "MEGA" shopping mall (220 participants).

Participants representing Samara University accumulated the highest total number of points in the overall standings and won the Governor's Cup. This year, the trophy was presented in the form of a helmet.

Samara University players – winners and prize-winners in team disciplines:

• Counter-Strike, team "begynki" – first place;

• Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, team "GankMeDaddy" – second place;

• Dota 2, team "bez negativa" – third place.

In individual disciplines:

• Tekken 8 – Mikhail Bykov, first place;

• Just Dance – Vadim Matveev, second place;

• StarCraft 2 – Sergey Kovalenko, first place; Damir Khasanov, second place.
