On January 26, the Student Council of Samara National Research University organized a large-scale celebration in honor of Russian Students’ Day at the university’s sports arena. The evening’s concept centered around the ideas of personal choice and active engagement, encapsulated in the simple yet powerful motto: “To be a student means to constantly choose growth.”
The event unfolded in three distinct phases, progressively immersing attendees: interactive workshops, an immersive performance, and an energetic dance party.
At the creative stations, participants could craft their own unique accessories—customizing tote bags with stylish embellishments or molding rings from modern UV resin that hardens under ultraviolet light. The most enthusiastic participants received commemorative gifts from event partners. Meanwhile, the stage featured performances by the university’s creative ensembles.
The highlight of the evening was a thought-provoking performance—not merely a dance, but a theatrical reflection on growing up, finding one’s path, embracing personal emotions, and engaging meaningfully with the world around us.
The celebration culminated in a dynamic disco. This year, three DJs took to the decks: DJ Foksha, DJ Rave, and DJ Gordeev. Their sets created the perfect atmosphere for everyone to unite in a shared, joyful dance.
Student Day 2026 once again demonstrated the strength of the university community, united by creativity, initiative, and vivid emotions. The Student Council extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers, and organizers who helped make this unforgettable celebration possible!
