The results of the annual competition for the regional Dmitry Ilyich Kozlov Prize have been announced in the Samara Region. The laureates are talented students from the region's leading specialized educational institutions who are conducting scientific research in the fields of aviation and space exploration.
An expert panel comprising representatives from the Samara Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, UEC-Kuznetsov PJSC, Progress Rocket Space Centre JSC, the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade, and specialized departments of Samara University noted the exceptionally high quality of the submitted projects and the growing interest in the competition among the youth.
The prizes were awarded to students from three key educational hubs of the region's aerospace industry: Samara University, the Aviation Technical College of Samara University, and the D.I. Kozlov Samara Technical College of Aviation and Industrial Engineering.
"The region is deeply committed to nurturing a growing community of talented and proactive young people. Thanks to the support of the Governor of the Samara Region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, crucial decisions are being made to fund projects that drive the region's scientific and technological development," commented Mark Shleenkov, Acting Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Samara Region. "Becoming a laureate of this prize is a great honor for these young researchers. Held annually since 2009, the competition has quickly become highly sought after by talented youth. We are seeing a steady increase in participants and a rise in truly innovative projects."
The total prize fund this year amounted to 1.32 million rubles. Students of vocational educational institutions (14 laureates) will each receive a one-time payment of 20,000 rubles, while university students (20 laureates) will each receive a one-time payment of 52,000 rubles.
