Activity
Aviation Sports and Technical Club named after Y.L. Tarasov has been conducting initial theoretical and flight training of students since 2015. Theoretical and practical classes are held on an aerospace simulator and operational aviation equipment under the guidance of professional pilot-trainers and aircraft technicians. In 5 years, 120 students made their first flights. Flights take place at the Russian Army, Air Force and Navy Volunteer Society base at the Bobrovka Airdrome. Students learn to fly an A-27.
Directions of initial training
flight manual for A-27;
safety measures of airline operations;
practical and theoretical aerodynamics;
familiarization flight.
There is also an engineering group that is engaged in the development, construction, maintenance of aircraft and the creation of training aids.
Members of the Aviation Sports and Technical Club participate as judges in various competitions of aviation sports (aerobatics, helicopter sports, parachuting).

History
The Club was created on the basis of the Inter-Department Design Bureau of Small Aviation.
The revival of the tradition of flight training of students of Samara University (until 1990 - Kuibyshev Aviation Institute) belongs to the head of the Inter-Department Design Bureau Vladimir Shakhmistov, head of the parachute section of the University Faina Bevzyuk, head of the Department of Extracurricular Work Maria Reznichenko.
The result of this work was the organization of the Student Aviation Sports and Technical Club in 2015. The Club was named after Y.L. Tarasov, a graduate of Kuibyshev Aviation Institute, professor of the University, master in sports of the USSR of aerobatics, All-Union and international judge.
