Photo Club «Illuminator» named after V. Kakovkin

Photo Club «Illuminator» named after V. Kakovkin is the one of the oldest student organizations. The Club was founded in 2007. During this time, several generations of photographers have formed here, whose work has been recognized and appreciated by the professional community.

Our Club is aimed at training photography with any level of skills. First, we teach basic aspects of photography, such as settings, composition and visual erudition. In lessons, as examples, we analyze photographs of different genres, photographers and times. It is important for us to show the new participants the vast world of photography to and explain everything in order to teach to select and evaluate their own shots in the future. In the practice students learn studio shooting, shooting with studio and color light, photo walks and photo intensive. We unlock full creativity our participants, because any interested student can hold a photo shoot in our studio.

The members of the Photo Club are known for their professionalism, so they are regularly invited to shoot events at Samara University, Samara and Regional levels. For example, the Photo Club took part in the Youth Forum of the Volga Federal District «iVolga», the Student Educational Forum «Liga Forum», the XXX All-Russian festival «Russian Student Spring», as well as in the Festival «VolgaFest». The members of our Photo Club also participate in exhibitions and their work is published on social networks.

The Photo Club regularly participate in competitions and take prizes. There is personal success of participants: winners of the competition «Samara’s view», winners of the competition «Young Photographers of Russia», winners of the competition by Andrey Stenin.

Our Photo Club has received honors in competitions «Star Trek» of Samara University (nomination "Mass Media of the University”, 2019), Photo Parade competition in Uglich (the II place, 2018).
