Practical training centers for working with unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), where they will teach modeling, design, assembly and use of UAVs, will appear in the Samara region. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Education.
"UAS practical training centers will appear in the Samara region," the message says.
The authority added that 18 classrooms for unmanned aircraft systems will be created in schools and institutions of secondary vocational education in the region. The educational centers are designed to make the system of training specialists in the field of development, production and operation of drones continuous and will become part of the implementation of the national project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems". The Samara region has become one of the pilot regions where such centers will appear.
Earlier, the Center for the Development of Competencies in Unmanned Aircraft Systems was opened in the region on the basis of Samara University and several institutions of secondary vocational education. The center's objectives are to identify talented young people and involve them in training in the field of unmanned technologies, create an educational and research environment for the training and retraining of qualified personnel for unmanned aviation.
The President gave instructions on the formation of a separate national UAS project, the implementation of which began on January, 1, of this year. The project defines the strategy for development of unmanned aviation up to 2030.
A regional cluster of unmanned aircraft systems has been created in the Samara Region, which includes six organizations: Transport of the Future, Samara National Research University, “DeltaTech”, “Aviakor Service”, “AvtoKom”, “Tolyatti Project”. A regional program for the development of unmanned aircraft up to 2030 has been developed and approved. “Since the end of 2023, Samara region has started creating the regional research and production centre for testing and competencies in the field of UAS technology development, which will be furnished with high-tech equipment in framework of the national project in 2024. According to the national project, it is planned to create a ground infrastructure for drone flights, equip pilot educational institutions in the region with equipment, as well as purchase unmanned aircraft systems for the needs of the Ministry of Forestry.
