In “Sirius”, the School of Young Scientists was held as part of the Russian Forum “Microelectronics 2024”

On September 16–25, 2024, in the “Sirius” federal territory, the 6th School of Young Scientists was held as part of the Russian Forum “Microelectronics 2024”.

The School of Young Scientists has taken place annually as part of the Russian Forum “Microelectronics” since 2019 and has become the unique communication environment for over 500 beginners and established specialists in microelectronics.

Samara University was represented in “Sirius” by two young scientists who made presentations. Anastasia Rymzhina, a 3rd-year postgraduate student of the Department of Nanoengineering, made her presentation “Synthesis and Functionalization of TiS3 for Application in Flexible IR Detectors” in the Section “Physics of Micro- and Nanoscale Devices”, which aroused interest and discussion in the scientific community.

Pavel Mokshin, an engineer of the Department of Nanoengineering and a part-time research assistant at the Advanced Aerospace Engineering School “Integrated Technologies in Aerospace Engineering”, made his presentation “Numerical Studies of Optical Diode Based on Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystals” in the Section “Integrated Photonics”. The presentation caused considerable excitement among the listeners and the curators of the section, with discussions to be continued even after the section itself was over.

Pavel Mokshin’s presentation was recognized as the best one in the Section “Integrated Photonics” and received the award signed by Gennady Krasnikov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
