From October 2 to 9, trainings on entrepreneurial competencies were held at Samara University site. More than 360 students from Samara immersed themselves in the atmosphere of technological entrepreneurship. Over the course of six eventful days, participants studied key aspects of entrepreneurship and went through the main stages of the Startup Navigator business game. The event was held within the framework of the federal project "University Technology Entrepreneurship Platform".
Intensive training through practice
The training is an opportunity to identify the competencies necessary to launch a startup based on student scientific development. After the training, students gain an understanding of what measures to support entrepreneurship exist at the University, what steps need to be taken to launch their project, and where to find funding.
The training gives students the opportunity not only to get acquainted with the theory, but also to gain valuable practical experience that can be applied when launching their own startups. This season, special attention was paid to the development of business competencies, such as teamwork, the ability to present ideas and preparation for negotiations with investors.
The format of the event allowed the participants to go through business simulations, during which they learned how to develop their projects from scratch. It was not just training, but a complete immersion in the world of entrepreneurship, where each team created its own idea step by step and prepared it for launch.
Interview with the coach
This season's coach was Valeria Anisimova, who accompanied the students throughout the six days, helped them develop skills and assess progress. Valeria noted that this season the participants showed a high level of engagement:
"Entrepreneurial competence training is not just training, but an opportunity to look at the world of entrepreneurship in a new way. Students were actively involved in the process, creating logos, mockups of applications and high-tech products. Most importantly, upon completion of the training, many expressed a desire to continue working on their projects within the framework of the University Technology Entrepreneurship Platform. This is the best result!"
Results
The fall season trainings have become indicative and proved that students have the skills necessary to transform ideas into real business strategies. For six days, students not only mastered the basics of startup management, but also developed competencies such as decision-making, creative thinking and leadership.
Among the projects that were presented at the final defense were ideas in the field of medicine, environmentally friendly technologies and safety. After the training, each participant received a certificate verified by MIPT, the operator for conducting business competence trainings in the territory of the Russian Federation. Such a certificate gives one point when submitting a competitive application for the Student Startup competition.
