One of the main sources of data for research remains the Crunchbase resource, the largest platform aggregating information about venture investments, startups and investors around the world. It contains an array of data about organizations, educational platforms, investment firms and people. To form a database of local startups, a common list of open data sources was also used, which included entrepreneurship support funds (IIDF, Skolkovo, Sber, etc.), open data from accelerators, startup studios, and the media.
