Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Pyshny presented diplomas to laureates of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technics for 2024. Twenty (20) prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation in this field are presented every year: teams of scientists were being awarded for creation of such studies results of which had been already implemented to the work of organizations of the key sectors of economy — industry, energetics, agriculture, space, and healthcare. All these innovations are competitive and are able to remove foreign analogues, and several of them are unique.

A group of scientists of the Image Processing Systems Institute of the RAS and Samara National Research University, as well as a group of the Samara State Medical University are among the laureates.

Let us recall: previously in November, in Moscow, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin awarded the team of authors under the supervision of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Engineering Cybernetics, Head of the Division of “Image Processing System Institute — Samara” of the Kurchatov Crystallography and Photonics Complex of the Federal Government Budgetary Institution “National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute,” Nikolai Kazansky with the prize in field of science and technics. Experts of the Prize highly appreciated work of Samara scientists on creation of intelligent multispectral systems of remote monitoring of natural and anthropogenic environment.

In December, in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Kazansky, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Roman Skidanov, Doctor of Engineering Sciences Artyom Nikonorov, and Candidate of Engineering Sciences Nikolai Ivliev were recognized with diplomas of laureates.

“We are very pleased that in this year two groups from the Samara Region are among laureates of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation, which confirms a high scientific and technological potential of the region,” noted Nikolai Kazansky, “works in the field of creation of hyperspectral imaging apparatus and development of intelligent methods of analysis of multispectral data were initiated 12 years ago by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Viktor Aleksandrovich Soifer and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Petrovich Anshakov, a great organizational support from the side of "Progress" Rocket-Space Centre JSC was provided by Sergey Ivanovich Tkachenko. Our success would not be able without established tightest cooperation of the Image Processing System Institute and Samara National Research University, without support of the university’s management. We extremely sorry that some employees who I had invited to become members of the author group refused to participate due to high workload.”
