A delegation from Samara University participated in the international education exhibition "Education in Russia – 2025," held in Bishkek. The event became the largest educational gathering of the spring in CIS countries, attracting over 7,500 participants from four cities: Bishkek, Kant, Kara-Balta, and Cholpon-Ata.

Specialists from the Mobility and Recruitment Department Evelina Khasanova, Anna Kharchistova, and Roman Arutyunov introduced attendees to the University’s Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Specialist's Degree programs, opportunities for international project involvement, and vibrant student life at Samara University.

Aerospace and engineering disciplines, along with IT, economics, international relations, and software engineering programs, drew particular interest from visitors.

The exhibition enabled active engagement with senior students from Kyrgyz universities interested in pursuing master’s studies in Russia. Prospective applicants inquired about admissions requirements, internships, and life for international students in Samara.

"I’ve long been interested in aerospace technology master’s programs and have heard great reviews about Samara University. I saw on their Telegram channel that representatives would attend the exhibition, so I came to learn firsthand about admissions and opportunities for international students. I was impressed by the university’s focus on science and hands-on engineering practice — like their Advanced Engineering Aerospace School, state-of-the-art labs, and opportunities to join grant-funded research projects as a student! I’ve decided to apply to Samara this year," shared Nurgul, a final-year bachelor’s student.

During the visit, university representatives also held career guidance sessions with school students and undergraduates in Bishkek. The delegation visited Secondary School No. 25 named after Yuri Gagarin, School No. 59, and the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov (KAI). At KAI, discussions with the administration led to plans to revitalize inter-university collaboration, with joint projects in science, academic exchanges, and career guidance set to launch this fall.

"The 16th Education in Russia exhibition, held here for the 11th consecutive year, was the largest yet in terms of participating universities and attendees. Over 7,500 people attended across four cities in Kyrgyzstan, and we’re delighted that Samara University — a flagship institution of higher education in the Volga region — was represented this year," said Olga Frolova, president of the Moscow Classics Foundation and organizer of the exhibition.

Participation in the Bishkek exhibition marked a key step in expanding Samara University’s international partnerships, broadening its outreach in CIS countries, and launching new educational initiatives.
