From March 24 to 27, 2025, the XVII International Youth Scientific and Technical Conference “Youth. Technology. Space” took place at the Baltic State Technical University “VOENMEH” named after D.F. Ustinov.
The conference included a plenary session with leading specialists and experts from the space industry, focusing on key directions in technological and educational development related to artificial intelligence and safety.
Young scientists then participated in sectional meetings, where students from Samara University presented their research across three sections:
· “Rocket-Space and Aviation Technology”
· “Modern Technologies in Aviation and Rocket Engineering”
· “Robotics and Mechatronics”
Samara University’s presenters included:
· Vladimir Belotserkovsky, 3rd-year Bachelor’s student at the Institute of Engines and Power Plants, with a report titled “Application of Catalytic Combustion Chambers in Small-Scale Gas Turbine Units”.
· Vladislav Vladimirtsev, 3rd-year Bachelor’s student at the Institute of Engines and Power Plants, presenting “Improving Efficiency of Small-Scale Gas Turbine Units Through Implementation of a Recuperative Heat Exchanger”.
· Sergey Gudkov, 2nd-year Master’s student at the Institute of Informatics and Cybernetics, showcasing “Modification of the Full Coverage Method for an Autonomous Mobile Device”.
· Evgeny Mileshin, 5th-year Specialist student at the Institute of Engines and Power Plants, discussing “Hybrid Power Unit Based on a Small-Scale Gas Turbine Engine”.
· Zoya Morina, 2nd-year Master’s student at Institute of Aerospace Engineering, presenting “Dynamics of a Gyrostat in a Field of Variable Forces”.
Zoya Morina shared her experience:
“I presented in a section with over fifty participants, which allowed me to hear diverse perspectives from students across universities. It was nerve-wracking, as this was only my second time presenting this topic. However, the jury provided valuable feedback to refine my research further.”
Results:
· Zoya Morina received a 3rd Place Diploma in the “Rocket-Space and Aviation Technology” section (supervised by Anton Doroshin, Head of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics).
The conference proceedings, including abstracts of all presentations, will be published in a Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI)-indexed collection.
