Students from the Center for the Promotion of the Russian Language, accompanied by their teacher Alexandra Ruda, visited the "Smart Butterfly House". This unique destination captivated everyone with its focus on nature and the fascinating world of insects. The tour began with an engaging presentation about butterflies’ life cycles, species diversity, and ecological roles. Attendees were awestruck by the beauty and variety of these delicate creatures.
Mekan Akjayev, a student from Turkmenistan, shared his experience using virtual reality (VR) headsets:
“I never imagined that VR could transport me from the university campus straight into a tropical rainforest! Butterflies flew around me and even landed on my legs—it was an unforgettable feeling!”
Students from Burundi, Davi Waldo Habonimana and Bonnevi Irankunda, were thrilled to hold a live butterfly.
“We touched a real butterfly—it was so fragile and beautiful! We took lots of photos to share with our families,” they said.
Aynur Begendzhova, an aspiring biologist, was particularly fascinated by observing a butterfly under a microscope. She marveled at the intricate details visible on its wings, which sparked her curiosity for deeper scientific exploration.
Alexandra Ruda, the group’s instructor, remarked:
“The visit to the ‘Smart Butterfly House’ left a lasting impression and inspired students pursuing natural sciences and medicine to further explore the wonders of nature.”
