Polina Yakovleva's project was highly praised by the expert commission members

On November 21, 2025, the finals of the All-Russian Interdisciplinary Youth Competition of Scientific and Technical Works and Projects "Youth and the Future of Aviation and Cosmonautics" were held at the Moscow Aviation Institute as part of the XII International Aerospace Technology Week "Aerospace Science Week".

In 2025, 221 works were submitted for the competition. More than 350 young authors, including scientists, specialists, graduate students, and students, participated. The works came from 41 industrial organizations and 34 educational institutions and research institutes from 24 regions of the country. 79 projects were admitted to the final stage, among them that of Polina Yakovleva, a first-year master's student at the Institute of Aerospace Engineering.

In the competition finals, Polina defended her project on the topic "Assessment of the Influence of Solar Radiation Pressure Torque on the Angular Motion of a Spaceplane," completed under the scientific supervision of Alexey Kumarin, Assistant at the Inter-University Department of Space Research and Junior Research Fellow at Research Laboratory-102.

Polina Yakovleva's project was highly praised by the expert commission members, and she was awarded a finalist diploma. The abstract of her competition entry was included in the collection published for the start of the competition finals.

Within the framework of the competition finals, an open meeting was organized with Yandex expert Sergey Zayets on analyzing the possibilities and limitations of AI assistants in research and engineering activities, titled "AI: Artificial Intelligence or a Source of Illusions?"
