Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs F.M. Mukhametshin addressed the participants of the Olympiad with a welcoming speech and stressed the importance of holding such events to increase the level of knowledge of students interested in the history and modern development of diplomacy. Farit Mubarakshevich noted that the skills acquired within the framework of the Olympiad would be useful to future specialists working in the field of preparation of visits at all levels. We thank Farit Mubarakshevich for the book on diplomatic ceremony and protocol presented to the Primakov Center.
Dmitry Starostin, Head of the Information Department of the State Protocol Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, addressed the students,
“Every diplomat is certainly a protocol officer. You represent our country wherever you are. Love your job, take care of your teachers. Forward to new heights!”
The knowledge and skills of the participants to understand various cases on the organization of diplomatic visits, as well as ordinary working meetings between representatives of different cultures, were evaluated by a highly qualified jury headed by Alexey Chupakhin, Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Samara.
At the end of the Olympiad, each team had to perform a creative task, within which it was necessary to present a situation-an error from the history of diplomatic protocol.
According to the results of the Olympiad:
· The winner was the team “Peace Mediators” (3rd-year students of the specialty “International Relations” of Samara University Dmitry Belov, Karina Kuzmina, Viktoriya Noskova, Dariya Sokolova, and Alina Khairullina)!
· In the nomination “The most active participant”, the winner was Gunel Alieva, a 3rd-year student of the specialty “International Relations” at Samara University.
· The second place was taken by the team of “Ambassadors of Knowledge” (3rd-year students of the specialty “International Relations” of Samara University Gunel Aliyeva, Valery Yakovlev, 3rd-year student of the specialty “Sociology” of Samara University, 9th grade student of the MBOU School “Yaktylyk” Kamilya Gazizova, 10th grade students of the MBOU School “Yaktylyk” Safiya Mingaleeva and Baytur Kuduev)!
· The third place was taken by the team of “Dippedagogi” (3rd-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of SSPU Anastasiya Tenigina, Alyona Kalinkina, Ekaterina Tsyganova, 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of SSPU Elena Karyakina, 1st year student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of SSPU Chingiz Uvaliev)!
