From October 23 to October 25, 2024, an intensive InnoLab educational program was held at the Samara University site, organized by Skolkovo Open University as part of the federal project University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform (UTEP). The purpose of the intensive was the development by university representatives of tools for commercialization of research and engineering developments, the study of methods for tracking entrepreneurial projects, as well as the popularization of the participation of students and teachers in the events of the Platform.
InnoLab is an intensive program of the Skolkovo Open University, which helps university representatives master the tools for commercializing research and engineering results, introduces the main tools for tracking entrepreneurial projects, and also gives an understanding of the value of teachers and students' participation in programs and events within the framework of the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform (UTEP).
Participation in the program provided an opportunity for more than 50 participants from universities of the Volga Federal District to undergo three-day free training and improve their competencies in the field of technology project support. The program included a series of workshops and seminars where representatives of universities, heads of laboratories and advanced engineering schools studied real cases of the region and applied their knowledge in teamwork.
Elena Bogatova, Director of the Startup Center of Samara University, stressed the importance of such initiatives: "Samara University initiated this event on behalf of the consortium of universities of the Volga Federal District. We are glad that our university has become the center of attraction for such wonderful projects and wonderful initiatives."
Throughout the days of the program, the participants were accompanied by experts from the Skolkovo Foundation and the University Technology Entrepreneurship Platform. The intensive training lasted from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and covered key aspects of working with projects, such as the basics of commercialization, interviews with potential clients, development of a business model and a project roadmap. Special attention was paid to the integration of youth entrepreneurship into the educational environment of universities.
The final chord of the three-day intensive was the presentation of projects to experts and the ceremony of awarding certificates. According to the participants, the program proved to be extremely useful, and the knowledge gained will make a significant contribution to the further development of technological entrepreneurship at universities in the region.
Elena Bogatova: "Right now we are collecting reviews and any feedback. To be honest, it was already clear from reflection on the third day that it was useful for many. Everyone has received high-quality knowledge, and they will definitely use it in further work on the ground. Many thanks to the organizers for their trust! We decided to hold the next event within the framework of the consortium with our colleagues on the basis of one of the partner universities, therefore we are open to suggestions."
