Well-paid job search service SuperJob presented a study of salary dynamics in IT sector over the past 5 years. According to SuperJob research center, demand for IT-employees in Russia has grown by 20% in two years and salary offers – by 11.9%.
“Quantity of vacancies in IT sector has grown by 9% in a year, demand for personnel has increased by 20% in two years. In IT sector programmers are most in demand, the top-5 development languages include Java, Python, C++, PHP. On the second place in demand after programmers are analysts and data researchers, on the third – product- and project-manager”, – it is said in the results of the study.
Cybersecurity threats force state companies and private business to pay increased attention to information security. Quantity of vacancies for specialists knowing neural networks and machine learning principals has tripled for the last year. Large IT and telecommunication companies, banks, retail chains execute the most active work using artificial intelligence.
Analysts remark that employers in IT sector are focused on practical experience and give preference to students and graduates of large universities. We remind that: Samara National Research University has again entered the TOP-20 of the SuperJob ranking, rising 4 positions to the 15th place in one year. According to the research, the average salary of young people with Samara University’s IT-specialty diploma, who had graduated in 2018–2023, grew over a year by 25,000 rubles, and amounted to 150,000 rubles. Herewith, the ranking-makers indicate that 80% of the University’s IT-specialties graduates of that period remained working in the Samara Region.
