Library co-working: A Space for Ideas and Collaboration
Since 2024, a multifunctional Library co-working (135 sq. m) has been operating in the 16th building of the university. It was created on the site of the former foreign language and study lending departments (building 3, room 132).
Today, it is a vibrant hub for intellectual and cultural interaction, uniting the interests and creative energy of Russian and international students, graduate students, faculty, and staff of Samara University.
The space is fully equipped for productive work and comfortable rest: air conditioning, TV, computers, charging sockets, marker boards, flipcharts, and information stands.
5 Functional Zones:
R Meeting & Presentation Room: Table, office chairs, projector, screens, and a sound system (up to 10 people). Perfect for project pitches, negotiations, and team discussions.
R Lounge Area: Soft flooring, coffee tables, and 15 bean bags for informal gatherings and relaxed communication.
R BookCrossing Rack: A free book-exchange stand that visually divides the active and relaxation zones.
R Individual Work Zones: Two quiet areas for 5 and 8 people, equipped with extra lighting.
R Group Work Area: A spacious zone with sofas and tables (up to 14 people).
Opening Hours & Access
Open: Monday – Saturday, 8:00 – 22:00 (free access ).
Closed: Sundays.
Booking & Rules
Student associations, university departments, and study groups can book the space by checking the online calendar and filling out an application.
Please note: If an event has 15 or more participants, the co-working may be temporarily closed to the public.
Life in the Co-working
The space regularly hosts meetings of the International Student Club "Sputnik", as well as faculty gatherings, seminars, webinars, master classes, and trainings. It is also a popular venue for competition prep, video shoots, project defenses, film screenings, and social games ("Mafia", "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", career guidance, and board games).
