Samara University provides access to several licensed electronic library platforms, including University Online Library, Urait, Lan and other.
The recommended and universal way to enable remote ("home") access is the same for all platforms:
Register on the platform’s website while connected to the university network (via campus Wi-Fi or any computer in a university building). Your account will be automatically linked to Samara University thanks to IP-based authentication. After that, you can log in from any location your affiliation will be recognized automatically.

For most platforms, remote ("home") access follows the same simple principle:
Register on the platform’s website using your real name and institutional email (if required). Select “Samara National Research University” (in Russian) as your organization during registration. Your account will be confirmed by the library administrator within one business day.


University Online Library  is an electronic library platform providing higher and secondary educational institutions, public libraries, and corporate users with access to the most in-demand academic and scholarly materials across all fields of knowledge, published by leading Russian publishers. The resource includes textbooks, teaching aids, monographs, periodicals, reference works, dictionaries, encyclopedias, video and audio materials, illustrated art publications, non-fiction literature, and fiction. The catalogue is continuously updated with new and relevant content and currently contains nearly 100,000 titles.

Urait Educational Platform is a virtual reading room of textbooks and teaching manuals from authors from leading Russian universities in the following fields of study: business and economics; humanitarian, social and natural sciences; healthcare and medicine; computers and informatics; law; pedagogy; agriculture; applied sciences and technology. The data base of 9250+ courses from leading scientific schools in Russia (texts, an interactive fund of evaluation tools, educational media, 75+ different services in total) in 7620+ disciplines of all fields of study, all copyrights are long-term.

Lan Electronic Library is an electronic library of licensed educational and professional literature that provides access to textbooks, manuals, monographs, scientific journals on the websiteand in mobile apps for iOS and Android.
The subscription of the Samara University contains literature in the following fields of study: physics, business literature, psychology, engineering and technical sciences, linguistics and literary studies, economics and management, chemistry, biology, veterinary medicine and agriculture, theoretical mechanics, forestry and forest engineering, computer science.
After confirming the status, books from the subscription will be available to the reader. Registered users can use the mobile apps of Lan , which allow you to download books for offline reading for the entire duration of the university's subscription. The non-visual reading service (speech synthesizer) for visually impaired and blind readers is also integrated into the apps.

National Digital Resource “RUKONT” is an electronic library system that includes educational, scientific, and fiction literature, as well as periodicals and collections of various topics.

ibooks Electronic Library. Samara University provides access to the following collections on the platform:

  • World Literature Classics literary works in Russian, English, German, French, and Spanish.
  • Russian Classical Literature (MХK Publishing House) over 500 works from Lomonosov to Teffi, including fiction, essays, and educational texts.
  • Academic Journals: "IT-Expert", "IT-Manager", "IT-News" professional periodicals on IT, management, and digital technologies (2019–2022).
  • Open Educational Resources (LibreTexts) open-access textbooks in technical, scientific, and IT disciplines (programming, physics, mathematics, engineering, etc.).

RFL (Russian as a Foreign Language) is an educational platform for international students learning Russian language and culture. Its mission is to promote the Russian language in Russia and abroad to foster international dialogue and education. The company IPR Media supports this mission by providing modern teaching materials and helping students effectively master the language and integrate into the Russian academic environment.

The SOCHUM e-Library provides educational and research institutions with access to up-to-date academic and teaching resources in the social sciences and humanities, including history, education, political science, psychology, sociology, philosophy, law, economics, linguistics, and related fields.
Access is available only from the university campus network.

SamSTU Electronic Library provides 24/7 online access to publications issued by Samara State Technical University (SamSTU). The collection is regularly updated with new university-published materials.
Users can:

  • Search the catalogue,
  • Create personal bookshelves,
  • Read full texts online (electronic versions only).

Access is granted automatically from any computer on Samara University’s corporate network (by IP).
