Italian students in Russia

В редакцию газеты "Полёт" пришло письмо от Стефано Скарсо и Джулио Орландо. Ребята приехали из Италии, изучают в Самарском университете двигатели. Считают, что иностранным студентам есть, что рассказать русским коллегам. И предлагают в газете "Полёт" печатать небольшие заметки на английском языке.

We are Stefano and Giulio, two Italian students studying in Samara University. We arrived in this city in September 2018 and we started our lessons approximately in the second half of this month.

From the first days of our adventure in Samara, we started to discover this city. "First impression? Volga it’s very big. And it’s wonderful to see the sunset from the embankment".

Of course, our first step, as aerospace engineering students, was to visit the Space museum. "How did you carry a Soyuz rocket in the city? Amazing. Near this monument it’s possible to breathe the space vocation of this city".

We like the university very much. The first semester we studied in "корпус 14″. We think it’s amazing to have laboratories where you can touch engines and parts of aircraft. "You didn’t understand something about theory? Let’s go in the laboratory and we will see it in practice".

At the beginning for us was a little bit strange. In our university, Politecnico di Torino, we don’t have security at the entrances. But thanks to this stop, that is a daily experience for us students, we discovered the university’s newspaper "Полёт".

We started to learn Russian with this newspaper. Of course, in the first months we couldn’t understand anything. Now it’s different, after six months we understand what is written and this makes us happy.

Having a newspaper in university it’s a good way to unite students and to share information.

"Полёт" is also a way to internationalize Samara University. Probably a few months ago you read the articles about the French students in Samara. For us, international students, this newspaper is also a way to write what we do here and why we decided to come in this city.

Probably in the next weeks you will be able to read articles in English about our passion "Space and Aeronautics".
